Does 1080p matter at this size? If not, why spend the extra money?
Also, check that there are enough of the right inputs for this TV. If you use HDMI, this set probably works. If you are like me and have "older technology", be certain that your stereo, cable box, tivo, and game system can be connected.
AT 46"? Did you read it??? What size do you think you need for 1080p to matter????
I have the 42" version of this tv and it is excellent. 1080p is fine at 46" for a normal viewing distance. I wish I had coughed up the extra money for the extra size.
37" and above is when you see a difference in the 1080p - thing is cable companies and most of the dish's are broadcasting in 1080i - so unless you have a blu-ray your gonna need to wait for the broadcast technology to catch up
Size alone is not what matters. It's also how close you sit. And yes, 46" will usually benefit from 1080p. 37" is often considered the cutoff point, but I wouldn't even want a 32" that isn't 1080p, because having 1:1 pixel capability with 1080p sources is important, too.
five is right, size alone is not what matters
I use a 32" 1080p Regza that doubles as a PC monitor. It's perfect since I tend to sit relatively close much of the time.
