Newegg has the Transcend TS8GSDHC10 8GB Class 10 SDHC Card for $20 with free shipping. Supports transfer rates of up to 23 MB/s on devices supporting SD v.3.0 and is backwards compatible with SD v.2.0.
The first and only SD card that ever died on me was a PQI. Also, while it was working, it didn't perform as fast as it's advertised or rated speed. Could be a fluke, but it seems that many PQI cards at the time were rated higher than their actual performance (this was a couple of years ago). On the other hand, I also have a 1GB Transcend 80x SD card which is still working (I bought it before the PQI one, btw). Just my own experience. Take it for what it's worth.
#1 The PQI seems better deal for 17 bucks at SuperMediaStore.. Both Class 10..
Thanks. There was a PQi 8GB Class 10 for $15 on Meritline (with coupon code) few days ago. I am not confident with PQi. Only $4 more, hopefully it is safer for my pictures and video clips.

#1, thanks for letting us all know that.
You are welcome. Ben was late. I ordered it before Ben posted the deal. The deal has been there for few days.
I bought a 64 GB CF Trancend and that one bit the dust the first day. Could have been a fluke, but I'll never buy another one.
A lot of money. Where did you buy the card? Did you get the refund? I carry two 4GB CF cards and it is good for a day shooting. I use Sandisk CF. But I have never got a bad Transcend. Maybe it's pure luck.
I use mostly Canon cameras, and Transcend SD cards work fine with them (Canons can be tricky with certain brands of SD cards). I had a Kingston card fry out in a Canon.
Ordered one this morning.

I had one 8GB pqi SD and one 4GB adata SD. Both died within one year.
