      The only problem with luggage made out of this material is that it adds extra weight. More the luggage weighs, the less the actual content that you can carry.

      I had samsonite luggage made from polycarbonate ABS, and it ended up fracturing, and eventually breaking open during use at the airport.

      #1 agreed... hardshell luggage is a poor choice for air travel these days (unless you don't mind paying the extra $50 or $75 for overweight luggage).
