no kidding here - trendnet is HORRIBLE. I have used almost every wireless router available, d-link is the only brand i havent tried, and trendnet is by far the worst garbage ever! save your $14 and buy a sandwich.

I've used some "higher-end" Trendnet wireless gear that is great. This unit, however, is indeed a POS. I've dealt with wireless gear from pretty much everyone over the past 5 or 6 years, and this unit is the only one I've had to completely give up on. Save your pennies for a real wireless router.

I agree with #1 - I had a trendnet wireless N I got for cheap, lasted two weeks and one day... a day after buy.com would take it back - the bastards

Right now I'm on this TRENDnet TEW-432BRP from new egg about 6 months ago for $19. Seems to work fine. Only time it drops me is when my 2.4 ghz cordless land line rings. Fortunately, I have no friends and get very few calls.

What happened to the $5 AR on these routers? They used to be a dime a dozen. I have one and it works great in my condo.

i got this because I was being cheap, but it's doing its job fine. i wouldn't get it again, though, and would rather spend a bit more money on netgear/linksys.

Just set this up for a friend and it works fine. Watch out for the WPS default setting if you don't plan to use WPS. The web admin is 192.168.10.1 and the password is, if I recall correctly, admin.

I've installed a few of these for clients with almost no complaints. It ain't rocket-science folks - it's a router and I'm pretty sure any company can figure out a way to build a half-way decent one like Trendnet has.

I have installed this router - it works. Yes, it does have limited range. As Ben mentioned, easy to setup as a web server or FTP server. However, most residential ISPs will block HTTP uploads and you will need to use a different port.

With router prices continually falling, this is a cheap backup router.
