I doubt this is really 100mW. Could someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought 35mW laser pointer can burn a hole thru plastic bag. I don't think this one could do that.

Pretty sure this thing won't do much more than point a green beam.
100mW is certainly enough to cause retinal damage. Also, you can light a match and pop balloons:

These are not high precision instruments, they use cheap crystals and possibly adjustment POT inside. In a box of 50, some might be capable of fun things like burning stuff, while some won't.
I see your schwartz is as big as mine!
