    I have had one of these for a couple years.
    it is marked DTI/8GB
    it is not very reliable and only formats as 4gb

    does anyone have any tips on how to get it to be 8gb or make it more reliable?

    Buy.com has the data traveller 101 8gb for 16.95
    It comes in 3 colors and has a capless swivel design if losing a cap worries you.
