Netflix DVD-rental service is now $18/month for unlimited rentals (3 outstanding at a time), with free 2-week trial for new customers. Their basic service is $10/month with 1 out at a time. Service will be quick if you live near one of their distribution centers.

Are Ben's homocidal tendencies coming out with his pick of Hannibal as an avatar picture for this post?

Tried blockbusters for 1 month (free trial) while subscribing to netflix to see if it's worth the switch since there is a BB across the street and you do get a coupon every month to walk in and grab another copy. I stuck with netflix because the BB delivery was 1 day slower than netflix and 2 of the 4 movies that came were badly damaged. It could have been just bad luck but the free trial period is to see how good the product is and it was bad so I still use netflix and like it much better than BB.

I think that depends on where you live. Blockbuster was alot of quicker for me - I usually received the movies the day after it shipped (NYC) and the longest being the day after.

Although I did have a couple of problems where the dvd came damaged from Blockbuster, I reported them as an issue and they sent me a new dvd the same day - so it never became an issue with me.
