I think if I joined Netflix I would just live on my couch. Kind of like ellory, TheKitty, and Kotackchi.
Pah who needs this when we have torrents?
So, where is the deal? This deal is on all the time in their site. Also, you cannot have two free trials for the same home address. No matter you change the credit card or email address.
They have offered 1 free month before. This is not a deal.
I am grandfathered in at Blockbuster. $19 gets me 3 at a time, 2 game/movie coupons, 1 FREE $9.99 or less pre-veiwed dvd, and as many in store exchanges as I want. And Since the store is 2 miles from my house, Blockbuster will have to go bankrupt for me to go back to Netflix.
I agree with #3... how is this different from their every
day offer?
#2, torrenters around the world are now suffering due to the loss of Demonoid last week. Now we'll all have to resort to lesser sites to fulfill our torrent downloading needs.
R I P Demonoid
Everyday is a deal.
If I sign up for this, then Ben would lose the commission on the DVDs I buy from DD, BB, and CC.
They have one month free offers all the time. Currently I pay $9.75 for two out at a time unlimited games and movies per month from a competitor anyway.
They limit you to 13 movies a month on the 3 at a time plan. I used to rip DVDs and return them immediately and watch at my leasure, but I think I have just about every movie I am going to want to watch for a good long while.
Bruce Leroy!
I have switched back and forth between NetFlix and Blockbuster and NetFlix still beats Blockbuster hands down.
#13's experience echoes mine -- not to mention blockbuster's poor selection of foreign films.
Brick and mortar BB is doomed. Netflix's system of queueing, distribution, and selection is just too hard to beat.
"WHAT'S MY NAME?!!!" SHO'NUFF!
It's a shame that Blockbuster can't keep up with Netflix according to the Netflix fhags. I was chosen for a survey 2 years ago that paid me to rent from both Blockbuster and Netflix to compare the two and Blockbuster won hands down. Blockbuster had faster turn around times, delivered movies on Saturdays, and continued to send me DVDs while Netflix just decided stopped sending movies. I emailed them about it and they gave me some lame excuse that their system messed up and my DVDs would be out the next day.
I was paid to use both for 3 months, and every month Netflix pulled the same crap while Blockbuster continued to send me movies. Match that up with the free in-store rentals Blockbuster sent me every month and the winner was a no brainer.
I continued on with Blockbuster up to February 2006 on my own dime and have since stopped using them because I got tired of burning movies I never watched. Has Blockbuster really downhill that much or has Netflix just started providing better services? Somehow I don't believe either has happened.
netflix is good at getting you some movies but some are on permanent waiting status. I discontinued since the movie turnaround time was over a week.
I _am_ the Shogun of Harlem!
Yeah...and you're very proud of it, dont you...
