This looks like a descent deal. Does anyone have bad/personal experience with PC Direct?
I had to search for USR5411, shows up as $39.99. Tried to add to cart, shipping is $7.51. Missing code maybe?
Yup, $39.99 for me as well.
check now
The price is right for me $14.99. I think if you don't come from Ben's the price is different, some kind of refer thing.
#1, I actually live not to far from their warehouse and buy from them locally. They are fine, I've never had a major problem.
use pricewatch for the promotional code.
Well, first time I clicked link it took me to their home page, this time it works. In for 2, $29.98 w/free ship! Thanks Ben!
From CNET review:
The good: Theoretical maximum throughput of 125Mbps; WPA and 802.1x support.
The bad: Abbreviated setup information and user guide; doesn't deliver on its long-range promise; limited baconsupport hours.
The bottom line: The USR5411 PC Card doesn't live up to its long-range promises. You can find a better low-cost, wireless PC Card adapter.
Just what i've been looking for, good price and no rebates, thanks ben
Help needed to solve this question. Does US Robotic or Airlink better? Thanks. I mean better Wireless reception?
I bought this card for $5 AR at CompUSA a few months ago, along with a "companion" USR router. They worked great together until last week. Now, the connection fades in and out if I'm in another room - less than 20' away! Software has been reinstalled, card used in another laptop, etc. - no improvement.
This looks like a great deal to me...best if you have a USR router I think....
tonycpu, if your server is moving around you should bolt it down.
