^ For $284? Yeah right. 1920 x 1200 is fine if you look at it in the context of use like a smaller 1920 x 1200 but being able to scoot it back further on your desk to reclaim some extra workspace.
Some of the Catleap monitors actually come close to that price and resolution. IPS Panel, 27" 2560x1440 in the low $300's. Definitely no frills, but a lot of people seem to have had great luck. I haven't quite got the courage up to ordering a pair, but it sure is tempting.

I recently picked up 2 of these to use with my Dell 2407WFP in a Surround video setup. Looks fantastic. Couldn't be happier with their performance.
