Best Buy has the Unibody Apple Mac Mini with Intel Core i5 and Thunderbolt MC815LL/A (Mid 2011) for $570 with free shipping. Still measures 1.4" x 7.7" x 7.7" but no longer has an optical drive. Amazon has it for the same price.
$79, or you can grab a third-party USB plate-spinner for $30. Vinyl, DAT, MiniDisc, 8-Track, VHS, LaserDisc, and compact cassette readers are also available separately. It's good that there are finally no real issues with Apple.
Besides the stupidly expensive RAM upgrades (8GB: $300 vs $57 at the egg). And the inaccessible hard drive (750GB: $150 vs $70, well, you can't pentuple everything). And the graphics coprocessor DOWNGRADE. And the difficult to access USB 3.0 port (If you're looking, it's behind the Calendar flap that says "2013"). But hey, there's an SDXC slot!
Apparently Apple has decided that optical drives compete against the iTunes Store.
first they came for the optical drives..
Where's A: at?
I'm sure Apple will be happy to sell you an external optical drive for only $200 or so more.

How come Apple can use "Thunderbolt"? HTC already uses Thunderbolt. How come I cannot use "App Store"? Only Apple can use App Store.
because Apple's lawyers can beat up your and HTC's lawyer(s) #6
