No... #1 these were really cool, back in 1998 The first one came out were Motorola (talkaout) radio. I paid $120 each at Samsclub, but they are more expecive when a year ago in 1997 at Sharper Image for 250 about this model# you need a FCC licences to operate, the 2 miles one's you do not need any licences. Yea!. pretty cheap these days..
