I dont like to chat on the phone, so I just need 300 mins a month. Wish they don't keep raising up the monthly fee and mins, so people will not need to spend the extra money.
verizon? they used to be good. but after i realized that they lock almost every features on my phone for making more money, i switched to other company.
#2 you are so correct.
Verizon is the worst service. remember all those annoying "can you hear me now" commercials? They sucked ass
Unfortunately, in NY, Verizon is basically the most used service. All my friends and family use it, so to talk to them for free I only need to buy the cheapest monthly service. If I had other options, I'd probably take them.
according to the front page of the wall street journal today, verizon, at&t, and t-mobile are all unveiling this plan.
Wow everyone's following CricKet's steps of unlimited. Wish the car dealership would give me unlimited fill-ups on my car.
I suppose this kind of thing might be Ok for women and pretards.
After my 1 year contract was over with them, I offered to sign up for a 2 year contract if they could meet or beat an online price with another company for a phone I wanted. I never get 2 year contracts. After awhile of haggling, the best they could do was charge $50 more than the price I found online, so I decided to cancel them and not look back. I am going see how Metro PCS is next, has anyone tried them? Was the coverage ok? Good luck!
Also my old phone would not let me share with other cell phones with blue tooth, and they took out the enable/disable mp3 function in the service menu. I'm looking for another phone with stereo speakers built in, I hope another provider has them.
Totally agree with #3. Verizon customer service sucks ba11s. And here is a shocker: the CS reps are in North America (take that Compwiz17!)
Yeah, Verizon really sucks. I switched the to North American calling plan when my g/f went to study abroad in Mexico. To make a long story short, at the end of the month they showed that we had used 2250 of 2400 available minutes, and charged us for 3800. Their explanation was that due to the distance, there is a week long delay for the minutes to update (the funny thing is, we only used 400 minutes during that week - figure that one out). End result: $800 phone bill.
At present, Verizon customers with analog/digital phones can get reception more places than any other network. I keep seeing references to their analog signal going soon, just like ota tv analog, so I assume any advantage they have had in the past will soon evaporate. This must be part of their plan to remain competitive. Doesn't appear to give them an advantage though if everyone else is following suit.
Verizon Wireless has become greedy. They increased data plan prices, jacks up phone prices for existing customers on contract renewal. In 10 days my contract will expire and I am leaving VWZ.
haha, funny how Verizon just came out with this. Sprint is going to offer this soon as well. Too bad they still want a crap ton of money for it. For someone it'll be worth it, but I don't even use 1/5th of the minutes on my share plan now.
It's a shame they still charge by the minute.
Yeah, T mobile has the same plan and price plus unlimited msg to anyone; better deal yet. Verizon service is all right, nothing spectacular. Definitely leave to get a better deal if you can (like cheap phones on amazon plus cheaper plan), if your signal strength isn't a factor.
When it comes to crippling phones then making you pay for stuff that should be free, Verizon is the worst. I work indirectly for them and have a free Verizon phone as a result, but I will never be a paying customer because of shitty policies like that.
I have to admit, in NYC Verizon reception is really good - but otherwise, Verizon is horrible. I hate how they force all the phone companies to adopt their boring interface, lock the bluetooth functionality on all their phones, make every possible feature a pay feature, and on and on. I used to have it when they messed up my billing and switched my plan (from a $40 to $80 plan), charged me for it, and then when I called - they said it was an error and that I would need to pay for it first and then they would credit me back in the next cycle. ?!?@! I told them I am not paying for it and told them I wanted to cancel since I was out of contract, amazing how when I said that they said they would credit me the difference so I didn't have to pay for it. I asked them why they couldn't do it before I threatened to cancel, and he said he was doing a "unauthorized manual credit" to keep me as a customer. I said OK, hung up after he gave me the credit, and went out the next week to get a different service.
I concur #2 and #12, I have left greedy bastards for T-Mobile.
It was fun to see that only my Verizon phone was working during our ski vacation. T-Mobile did not work even where AT&T worked. Who cares if some companies are cheaper, if their phones do not work?
I don't see how this is going to save money for non-business people.
exactly #18, my T_Mobile is the only phone that works at work and I don't give bacon about your 1 day trip I spend way more time at work with my cheap service that is more reliable than an shitty Verizon.
