Not a deal, this is their regular price.
Agreed. I have been with VIATalk for three years with no issues.
magicJack
Although it has been their regular price, they just added the 60+ additional countries without raising the price. For me, it works out great 'cause I was spending more than $25 a month in international calls. Now that is gone as the countries I call are now included for the $25 month.
With taxes, fees and other such BS it was $32.63/month for me in upstate NY.
MagicJack sometimes is perfect, sometimes the sound quality sucks. Not sure why. Still a better deal than Vonage.
Not sure if living in NY makes a difference, but I prepay one year at a time and it balances out to just about $25 a month even with taxes. Majic Jack is pretty cool and is cheap, but it doesn't have all the features that Vonage has, plus I hate to keep a computer on 24+7 just for phone service.
Ben is selling out..
i've been using voage for seveal years. it's tied into all my phones in the house. no need for a computer to be left on. yes, the $25/month does go up with taxes, 911, etc. fees but it still far less expensive then verizon.
features are awesome, for one, all VM's are emailed to my cell phone.
I've been very happy with Vonage. They just added these additional countries for free. Not bad...
Vonage has a service that translates your voicemail to text and emails it to you or your phone. This used to be $0.25 per message but now it is free. I am happy with Vonage as well.
I Agree w/#2...give it a look as you will be surprised at the savings and close comparison
Magic Jack works as good as Windows. The costs involved in leaving a computer on 24/7 pretty much kills the savings, and given the consumer PC's aren't really ideal for 'round the clock operation, you run a very real likelyhood of loosing your phone service when your hard drive dies or your PS gets fried.
