Silly #1, Canada's just a fairy tale told to frighten school children.

(If you go too far north, you'll be hunted down by mounties, who are called that because they TAKE YOUR HEAD AND MOUNT IT OVER THEIR MANTLE! And pronounce vowels funny.)

When I check their service map, it looks like service is pretty good throughout the US on a NON-android phone, but very splotchy with the android phone. I wish someone would comment who had this phone service.

      From the Straighttalk site:

Will my Straight Talk phone Roam?
No, your Straight Talk phone won't roam, you will be able to enjoy nationwide coverage on one of America´s best networks, at the same price of a local call!

Based on this, I don't think it would work in Canada.

The coverage map on straight talks site is wrong.. The coverage shown is for every provider they offer..

SIM card networks are AT&T or T-mobile.. One or the other, not both.

CDMA networks are Verizon or Sprint Prepaid.. this all depends on which phone model you get.. You dont get a phone with all 4 providers..

As of right now you can only bring a GSM phone..

From My limited experience via others have told me the coverage is okay, but the complains are that is takes a long time on the phone with customer service (in politicians), if you are trying to renew month to month. Also some report losing their number, but that was a year plus ago. Just google, " straight talk complaints" and I think walmart.com lets people review the phones/service.

Phone service is fine, customer service is horrible....!

I used it for 6 months, but found even at $45 I was paying for more than I was using.

Switched to T-Mobile 1500 minutes, unlimited text, 30MB data plan for $30 a month...plenty for me.

You have to buy the phone from Straight Talk, they do not allow you to bring in a phone...unlocked or not...you must use one of their phones.

#10 You don't have to buy their straight talk phone anymore...you can buy a SIM card for AT&T or T-Mobile and bring to straight talk

#11 If the Iphone 4 is AT&T, you can do the straight talk...you can do T-Mobile, but don't think the 3g will work...

Well, I am editing this post. Seems that ST is allowing non-ST phones with $45 plan with limits. About time. I found a great post at the Bulging Billfold website if you search for

Straight Talk to Allow Any GSM Phone on the $45 Unlimited Plan
