Is it really worth paying this much VS signing a 2 year agreement??

Not worth it if you're elgible for an upgrade and going to stay with the same carrier anyways, but It's good if you lost or accidently forgot your cell phone in a pair of jeans that you threw in the washer.

I've put 2 separate flip phones through the wash in my life time.. Both of them worked a few days later after taking them apart and drying them... No idea if it would work w/ today's "smart phones"
