This is a fun game but it's been out for quite a while now.

this game hass nothing on Wolfenstein 3D - which also runs well on most systems.

Multiplayer is stupid.

Multiplayer is smart.

multiplayer is only as smart as folks populating any given server. most of them are a-holes.

From my experience, most of them are douche bags....and really whiny.

save the money, get left4dead instead.

the original unreal tournament looked and played great on really old machines. (celeron 1000, 256mb, crappy video card). much better than quake.

I really loved Unreal, but I never played multiplayer. I'm kind of tired of it now, especially since I started playing the Grand Theft Auto series. The ability to just run around wreaking havoc and creating mayhem without having to finish missions is appealing to me, especially when I only have a few minutes at a time to play the game.

I got this on gogamer.com (or something like that) for $10.
Its not as great as I thought it would be. But, for $10...i guess thats why it is what it is. And all of you are right...there are to many a-holes on the servers. They are hell bent on being the "best" and really ruin it for so many. Oh well. Im gonna try Wolfenstein 3D. Lots of great reviews and looks like alot of fun.

Hi- speed 1st person shooting game. If you like shooting game and never play it before- you need this. But since it has been out for a while, maybe eBay will be a better place to ship this game.

On ebay this games sells used for as little as $4 shipped. But still, at $15 this is a good price if you want a new box.

Like #10 I bought this game for $10 at GoGamer. I'm not into online gaming, but I'm enjoying the single player campaign. This game looks just like Gears of War. I know they use the same engine, and the main single player hero looks just like "Marcus" from GOW. Kinda surprised me when I first started up the game.

This game is a lot better than the sales and non-hype surrounding it suggested. I really enjoyed the game, the graphics are beautiful, the pacing is incredibly fine-tuned and it's just an overall fun experience.

I think its downfall was that it's not (imho) substantially different than UT2004 (which was undeniably awesome in its day).

Still, worth $10-15 if you can get a copy and enjoy fast-paced multiplayer shooters.

good point #11, but we come back here because we're cheapskates, not because we're whiny fans of a shitty multiplayer game.
