Watch out for Chase and their late payment cut-offs. I started getting late fees on the monthly statement after years all of a sudden and hadn't changed my paying habits. I just stopped using the card.
I'm saying they moved the due date to a week end and increased the time to process the payment. I use online bank checking and they wire the money same day. I usually tell them to send the payment two days before it is due as with all my other payments. The other payments, no problem, Chase late payment charge.
This card holds second place to me. It would be first except that you need to earn minimum of $50 before you can request a check, and the monthly earning limit I think is between $12-$14. My 1st place is a Discover card with 5% back with $20 min to request a check plus and can earn up to double points if you get a giftcard. My last place card is a WAMU/Providian credit card with whom after 3 years I paid off my balances in full and was never late decides to cancel on me due to a credit report error. I have since then moved my savings and checking to a local credit union bank, and they even gave me a sign on bonus, 0% interest for a year with their own credit card, and higher credit limit than what WAMU gave me.
I login to the website and trace transactions everyday based on their categories. It turns out that my calculation is different than the monthly rewards -- Chase significantly lower my rewards that I should have earned.
I will start using Citi again for grocery stores and gas to earn 2% and let Chase do the rest of my daily shopping. I really don't know how Chase counts the 3% and 1% rewards...

I have a State Farm CC. Twice I payed online on the date due and twice I was charged a late fee. I called customer service and was told I need to make my payment a few days before the due date. That way they can get their money BY the due date. I asked why didn't they just make the due date a few days before the due date so there would be no late charges. I got no answer. I threw a fit and they took off the late charges. I never used the card again.
Technically, if they received your money on the due date whether or not they applied it to your account, it was paid on time. The problem I had with Chase is the money was received, but not applied until after the due date (checked with bank). This is their problem, not the customers. They won't take off the late charge unless you call and complain. This is a sharp business practice, I have better things to do.

Are you saying they changed your payment due date without notifying you?

There is a limit for the 3% each month (up to $600 in purchases in your top 3 categories). The rest of your purchases will receive 1%.
#4 is correct that you can only request in $50 increments, but if you wait until you accumulate $200, Chase will give you $250. That's pretty good.
