In the 90's I bought 501s for between $20-30 - all made in the USA and all of them are still going strong.
Now, I can either pay $50 for their imported shiatty jeans or, get this, $178 for a pair of 501s that are still made in the USA. Unflipping believable.
In the 90's my 550's lasted about 6 months before they started to look *cool*. Today they last about 9 months before then. Conclusion? I wear pants 50% less often. It is insane though, how much they cost these days. I blame it on the "designer" jeans that cost even more.
Same here:
on sale for $60 - 15% off code = $51 with free shipping.
What part of $60 has anything to do with a sale.
Have you tried to buy a pair of tennis shoes that actually have leather uppers or furniture that contains any wood for a decent price.
China owns this country.
China? The porn chick?
#1, so did I. And I destroyed EVERY single one of them in the crotchal area with normal usage. In fact every pair of jeans I wear tears in that area within 4 years.
The deconstructed or destructed look is "in." Levi's purposely used shoddy denim and thread to help denim wearers achieve that look quickly. Else you'll pay $80 for a pair of destructed jeans.
