If you haven't had a chance to use the new filter feature, I encourage you to try it out. Due to popular demand, I added a filter for expired posts. Just uncheck the box next to "Show Expired," and expired stuff will be omitted from your search. More changes are on their way, so keep the comments rolling!

What I'd really like is a way to EXCLUDE certain vendors. For example, I'm pretty much never going to buy anything from Walmart.

I buy a lot from Walmart so I would like a filter to "show only the best merchants".

The menus may be preloaded with the page but they still drop down whenever you mouse over them on the way to doing something else.

The flash animation is not all preloaded and it goes back to the server every time it scrolls through to show you another bargan that Ben thinks you are to dumb to find on the page by yourself.

This is not a step forward. Lean and simple are best.

And your new posts still don't show up for a couple of minutes after you hit Submit.

I'd like to see filters be remembered - I don't want to have to set up my filters every time I check the page.

    - Those menus don't use any flash.

    - The flash animation does not go back to the server to scroll - test it yourself, yank your ethernet cable or take your antenna off and it still keeps going. If you still hate it, it can be disabled.

    - Yes there is a delay of about 1 minute before posts show up.

    - The filters will be "remembered" for 2 weeks. They depend on browser cookies so if you block or clear those, it will be as if you set nothing.

It appears to me that the filter does not apply to the search box. I would like to be able to search for g, "Jawbone" and filter out the expired deals. Am I missing something obvious with this feature?
