Got one of these a couple months ago when it was a "1 pack". So far it has worked with every format I've tried. No driver issues either.
#1, how is the speed and build quality?
I'm not #1, but I've got a couple of these. Speed seems to be fine. As for build quality, I think I've cracked the plastic cases on both of them, but not to the point that the case doesn't stay on. One of them stopped working after a couple of months for no apparent reason. Haven't spent much time trying to figure it out. I think I paid $5 each when I bought them so it's basically a throw-away item when it stops working.
just bought a similar one on ebay for $2.80 with shipping.
#2, quality seems good, I only have one and haven't experienced the problems that #3 has seen, ymmv. It shows up as USB 2 and speed is good for that interface.
I got 2 of this and they work very well.
