Accstation has the USB Sound Card Adapter for $7 - $3 off with coupon code BENSDEALSA0912 [Exp 9/14] = $4 with free shipping. Creates a microphone in and audio out connection from any open USB port.
anyone try these? i have machines with 64bit windows and win7, that i couldnt ever find drivers for.. one of my friends loaned me an altec lansing stick like this and it worked as a great work around.
Great little device for my laptop that has no microphone jack. Shame that the coupon has "expired". If anyone knows of a low cost similar item, please post. Thanks!
#6, Amazon sells this same device for $4.35 plus shipping, or with free shipping if you are an Amazon Prime member or if your order is over $25. Additionally, if you go to the link at Amazon (see below) and check "More Buying Choices", it looks like you can get this for as little as $4.35 including shipping from an Amazon.com associated merchant:
These will not work if you have a Magicjack telephone hookup plugged into your computer. It conflicts with the Magicjack's drivers and screws everything up royally!

I prefer the turtlebeach sound one (costs closer to $20)... but it has a dual interface with both optical and 1/8" in the same connector.
I find it hard to believe that there aren't updated drivers for this unit. You'd think at the premium you pay you would get weekly driver updates.
coupon seems to be expired.
I'd like to see some USB video adapters go cheap, makes for easy multi-screen hookup.
