My laptop unfortunately has half-duplex audio... useless for mixing. One or two of these should do the trick.

kind of handy for random skyping so I don't have to dig behind my PC to get the mic and headphones plugged in. in for two!
My media box has the sound outputs too close to the cable input, so I get a keening sound when watching recordings. Hope this does the trick by pulling the sound output away from that interference. Worth a try for four bucks.
