hmmm... My cat has this nasty habit of trying to eat anything plugged into my power strip. Kicking her doesn't work as a deterrent, and I don't dare spray her with water while her face is against the power strip.

I've thought about using an airsoft gun. You say these won't leave a mark on human skin. It might be just enough, though to guard my electronics from my suicidal cat.
