An excellent Sci-Fi movie. Was ahead of its time when it initially aired. Didnt care for the current version as much as the older.

True story...
#1, not so much. They showed the original series on scifi before the new series started...it did not age well.
The original was worth watching.... probably worth 12 for the set on DVD if you haven't seen it before.
There was always some campiness to the original. But at least it was tolerable. Main characters died during the series, not like most of the candy coated crap that was on the tube in those days.

Keep in mind this is not the 80's miniseries, but the crappy television series that followed. A few of the shots were actually recycled scenes from the mini-series.
