There are no deals during this time of the year for flowers. But, it's like fuel, you'll still need to buy it even if it's $10/gal.

I hate sites where they won't even tell you the shipping charge until the very end of the process.

I've used FTD, 1-800-FLOWERS and ProFlowers. I have had nothing but problems with FTD and 1-800. Their customer service workers have always been downright rude to me and FTD sent me dead flowers (they hadn't even bloomed yet and were hanging dead) last time and wouldn't refund the money.

I've always been impressed with ProFlowers. Their flowers always last longer than advertised. I see my wife throwing them out almost 2 weeks later and they still look good. And most important, my wife thinks ProFlowers has the best bouquets.

I listen to a lot of AM sports radio and they are always announcing promo codes on there so there's always a good deal to be had (like free shipping...).

The trick is to not add anything to your order once you have 1 or 2 vases to choose from at home. Anything you add kills the deal.
