Advance Auto Parts has the Valvoline NextGen 5W-30 Conventional Motor Oil 5.1 Quarts (also 10W-30 weight) for $20 - $20 rebate [Exp 8/29] (code AAP-10017) = $0 with free in-store pickup only.
Why does it say " This item is not eligible for promotional discounts, coupons or special offers. $20 Reward with the purchase of 5 or more quarts! See the rebate page for details. "
The page statement means you can't use the Advance Auto %-off coupon codes on that, or (almost) any other motor oil.
When your order arrives or you go to pick it up the receipt you're given has the numbers needed to complete the online rebate.
Just about any vehicle "can" use conventional motor oil, the fitness of an oil is determined by the service rating, not where it came from. However to preserve a manufacturer's warranty you should have proof that you used synthetic oil if the car came with it from the factory and yet a receipt for bulk oil is also sometimes rejected as being proof the oil was changed at the prescribed intervals, and of course technically speaking a true synthetic oil will go a bit longer between changes before breaking down but in average passenger car use (no extreme summer temps and not driving like it's a race car), either will be sufficient until something else causes the car to be retired.
Just got my 20 rebate back in the mail. Free oil is good.
Just got my rebate as well. It was nice to be able to apply for the rebate online and not have to send anything via snail mail.

On the top of the page?
#3, it means they aren't going to pay you to use it. You can get it free, but you won't make any money on the deal.
When filling out the online rebate, how do you properly enter the transaction? It only allows four digits.
Wow! I haven't used conventional motor oil in 20 years. What kind of vehicle still uses it?
@swreynolds
