      The Droid is probably better in every respect while this is just a slightly upgraded version of the original Android phones...with no physical keyboard to boot.

      #5; true, but the battery is changeable (as they point our in their commericals) so I guess that one would carry about 10 batteries to get through a normal day of use.

      Droid and Droid Eris are different phones. Droid is made by Motorola, Droid Eris by HTC. Naming confusion!

      The Droid has more , bigger touchscreen 3.7", more memory, faster processor, android 2.0, slide out querty keyboard.
