Verizon Broadband is offering the FIOS Triple Play with FIOS TV, Internet, and Phone for $85/month for one year. Includes a free multi-room DVR for 12 months, plus wireless router and premium installation.
I had this deal at $99, but my TV channels were seriously deficient. I gave up the phone to get the next tier of TV, and they upped my 'net speed to 25/25 which was a nice perk. I bought an Ooma Telo and all is well.
#1: that's because it's only available in two cities in the entire USA, and even then, in very very limited areas (read: where there is lots of rich people).
I still don't believe that Verizon even has FIOS. I don't know a single person that is able to get it.

I can get FIOS, from Frontier, who bought out all Verizon's infrastructure in Oregon or something like that.
