Verizon Broadband is offering the FIOS Triple Play with FIOS TV, Internet, and Phone for $90/month for one year. Includes a free multi-room DVR for 12 months, plus wireless router and premium installation.
#1 - at least they HAVE FIOS... there are some perfectly capable areas that are under some AT&T/Brighthouse/Comcast/ municipality agreement (read: conspiracy) which won't allow the fiber to be run down our street. Sure, FIOS is in my zipcode...just not in our area.
FiOS customer service is good about getting existing customers who are out of contract a new customer deal to lock them back in. Ask them to extend the offer to you and see what happens.
#6 that wasnt true for me. I had fios for 3 years. they raised the price and wouldnt do jack about it. I have been a Time Warner customer for over a year now at a fraction of the cost. In fact, TWC just extended my promotion another year. You can read more at http://gigamike.wordpress.com if you care.
Existing customers are SCREWED!

Beware of what Verizon's sales people tell you about any "good" deals they have to offer, if it is not in writing, it is not valid after you sign up.
I won't give up FiOS. With those box rental fees the prices add up quickly.
