Be sure to add those $5 - $20 per TV box rental fees per month.
Comcast and DirecTV charge the same monthly per-box fees. Might be a couple bucks less here or there, but they all charge per box. Tivo would be nice, but they charge fees for their scheduler that's even more.
The only winning move is to cut the cable, but only if you can do without some kinds of broadcasts and your provider won't throttle you into SDTV resolution.
