The gTablet can be rooted with Gingerbread right now (2.3). Honeycomb (3.0) source hasn't been released yet so nobody has custom ROMs for it. Once Google releases the code for Honeycomb XDA will probably have a port for the gTablet out very quickly.
My biggest complaint about this tablet is the poor viewing angle of the screen which make it's next to unusable at anything other than direct on viewing. That being said it's still probably one of the best "budget" tablets out right now. Yes you can get better with an iPad 2 or a Xoom but you'll pay at least twice as much.
My apologizes #4 but I got my 3s mixed up between Gingerbread (2.3) and Honeycomb (3.0). You are correct that Honeycomb is not ported to the gTablet yet. Google hasn't released the source code for Honeycomb so nobody has made a custom ROM of it yet.
No prob, though you did get my hopes up. There were some interesting comments from nVidia recently that had everyone thinking Froyo/Gingerbread was the end of the line for the gTab. But they recanted (more or less) and now the believers are coming back out of the woods.
I've played with an AOSP version of Honeycomb on the Nook Color, and it is out of this world. I really hope it works out for the gTab.
I don't really understand complaints about viewing angle, since its a tablet aren't you planning on holding it pretty much the entire time you're using it?
Welcome to the bacon, a collection of websites and RSS feeds built by deal seekers.
Only if it had Honeycomb and a higher res display.

#3 Not finding a Honeycomb thread on XDA (other than the one that says "STOP ASKING ABOUT HONEYCOMB" LOL). Can you point me to a good lead?
