    AVOID THIS!

Buy.com will NOT stand behind this product if you have ANY issues. Even if yours is DOA like mine was, you have to deal directly with Viewsonic for warranty replacement. Oops, I misspoke here -- it's not being replaced, it's being REPAIRED! 4 days old and it has to go the service center for a REPAIR because buy.com will NOT handle any replacements for a DOA product? Complete shite.

Buy.com is a very shady vendor to wipe its hands of all responsiblity as soon as they have your money and the product is out of their warehouse. Plus their overseas call center handling customer service calls is a complete joke, if you can even understand the thick accents.

Deal? I guess, if you go into it with eyes wide open and understand that you (sadly) get EXACTLY what you pay for -- the product only, with NO promise of service or support from the 'online superstore' you buy it from.

How easy is this return policy at Costco? Can I bring it back for "any reason" before the six months are up? Do I get cash back or store credit?

YOu can bring it back to Costco like years later man, and no reason at all. Just make something up, they dont give a baconnaise. Say something like "Uh ya the flux capacitor input stopped working" and they wont even question you. If you have the receipt they give you cash monies right burp there, if you dont then you get store credit. I know burp who have been buying and returning TV's for years, and upgrading for free. I don't do that because I have a conscience a little bit I guess, but I do feel comforted when I buy a TV that I dont even care about the manufacturers warranty, Costco is my warranty. I have baught wireless phones their and they broke like after 18 months or so and i didnt hav e abox or anything. I brought them back in a burp grocery store bag and they gave me cash right there. Costco owns burp face.

They do have the following in their return policy:

    • Oversize televisions (27 inches and larger) may not be returned at all. Be advised that the following responsibilities are yours upon taking delivery of your oversize television.
    • You must carefully inspect the box your TV comes in before the shipper leaves your premises. If you discover damage, or an incorrect item, refuse delivery. The shipper will remove the oversize TV and we will credit your order.
    • Do not sign the shipper's release form unless you have inspected the TV. Your acceptance of the TV constitutes your acceptance of the condition of the TV as delivered, and you understand that you cannot return the TV.
    • After delivery, contact the manufacturer directly or check any applicable warranty you might have.

Thanks for sharing your frustration. It helps--I won't ever do business with a company like them, and will definitley share the word with everyone I know. Buy.com, homedepot.com are crap--avoid them.

This was the lowest rated TV for 32" on Consumer Reports. This tv is beyond bad, avoid even if your brother was selling it to you.

that toshiba is probably twice as much if not more. if you're lookin for budget baconnaise then you get budget baconnaise. I dont really understand paying over $1000 for a 32" burp TV, which that Toshiba will cost. This isn't a TV you put in your living room, it's a TV you put in the garage, or in the kids room, or in the closet, or in the trunk of your car, which is all the reason you dont waste money on a burp Toshiba top of the line 32" goddamn burp LCD tv. You buy this piece of baconnaise, or a burp westinghouse, or a burp syntax olevia, or a burp vizio or some baconnaise. I dont know anybody stupid enough to spend over $1000 on a 32" Toshiba. If you intend on putting this in your main family room, then I feel sorry for you and you have bigger issues. You are obviously not as well off as the rest of us, and shouldn't even be looking to buy a TV, you should be out getting a real job.
