Review of the ViewSonic VA2226W from PC Perspective:
http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=467
ViewSonic used to make pretty good CRT monitors...Got one thats still kicking...How are their LCD's?
#1 - Read that review thanks.
This is probably better than say that KDS that's listed above.
This is a 3 year Warranty and this is their DPP.
ViewSonic LCD desktop display products are warranted with our LCD Pixel Performance Guarantee. Through this limited warranty, you are guaranteed high-quality screen performance with no more than four (4) improperly operating pixels total and no more than three (3) bright or three (3) dark pixels.

Lastly if there a problem I could just drive there...
This will be one of my B-Fri picks to get for about $150...
I have one, fairly good colors once calibrated, so-so contrast, slightly less than average light bleedthrough around all edges, pretty typical viewing angles for a TN panel. No dead pixels.
One annoyance is that if you have it hooked up through DVI, when rebooting the system the momentary loss of signal switches it to analog mode.
A second annoyance is it doesn't come with a DVI cable and the included analog cable is very cheap/thin/low quality, causes ghosting so either way you will need a different cable.
One larger annoyance to me is that mine failed a few, maybe 3 months after purchase. One day it just showed all white onscreen through both DVI and analog even after several different attempts and systems. I RMA'd it off for warranty repair, received the same one back supposedly repaired about 3 weeks later (no notification of return shipping, it just showed up outside the door one day), only to find that it was only half fixed.
The analog input now works but the digital doesn't at all. Since it's not my primary monitor I haven't gotten around to sending it back to them yet but WTF is up with them not even checking that the DVI worked after they did the repair?
If mine hadn't failed, I'd have liked it well enough for the price paid at the time but today $190 seems slightly high for a 22" TN panel with only 1000:1 contrast, I'd be more likely to spend the $40 more on something like this in a ~ 22"

I wonder if viewsonic will ever come out with a 24 or 30 inch lcd. My friend has a dell 24 and it's pretty sweet. How do view sonics compare to dells?
#5, had you seen their 25.5 and 28"?
