Vizio LCD panels come from the same manufacture who make the panels for some big brands (Pana is one of them). The different is the video processor (hadrware and software)which control image quality, normally each brand have their own processor. Vizio video processor is not accurate and precise especially in color repro. department.

Last march, Sears' price was $629 on this. I remember doing a pricematch to Walmart who had it at $548 (110% price match).

This is a very good price and even more so for those considering a 24" dell LCd or like (bigger monitor and get the 'tuner' for free essentially)

I have this TV and canNOT recommend it at all. While the screen may be good, the user interface is horrible and has a really weird way of naming channels. For example, in my area, an auto scan for channels gave me channels 1-57, then 58.1 to 58.12, then 59-63, then 63.1 to 65.12, then 66 to 99, then 110.1 to 115.17. So for NBC I have to type on their remote 115.14 (including the period). There is no FAVORITES button. The remote is not backlit. Using SLEEP mode requires 7 steps in the menu. The delay when switching channels is an agonizing 1.5 seconds! Folks, it's not all about resolution and number of inputs!

$400 should soon be 37" territory.
