That Java bezel is Fugly, might be ok if the tv was bigger and you could sit father away from it.

6500:1 seems pretty low for a dynamic contrast ratio

Absolutely nothing wrong with that Java Bezel. I'd have to see it in person of course, but in this pic it's fine.

i got the 32" 1080p with java bezel 6 months ago and i like it, except it didn't come with PIP like the non-java costco ones and it has stripped down built in sound which i have to mute and unmute to get to work after i change inputs. but i can't fault the picture quality for the price, zero pixel defects.

#10 Is right on many points. I've had it since March and it serves as 75% computer monitor and 25% TV.

It makes for a great monitor and is many times better than that crap TN panel LCD it replaced. The backlight can be turned down when using as a monitor (also has a VGA port that supports the 1080p res).

As a TV, it is fine and actually looks great with OTA HD channels and very watchable with SD ones. There is a quirk with it being 'muted' every time I turn on the TV, so its good to hear I'm not the only one noticing this. The Java bezel is a real plus over the old 'silver' bezel and helps mute the distraction when used as a monitor.

#7 unless your watching something bigger than 46" 720 is just fine. You won't see a difference between 720p on cable or 1080i.
