2007 LCD, not too bad reviews and good rating at CNET. People seem to like it since they give it very good reviews, taking the price into consideration.

Does Vizio make any LCD tv's that don't break down? Every "deal" I see on a Vizio is a refurbished model.

You get what you pay for. Sure they look nice and are cheap but why go thru the hassle of having to return it get serviced, replaced, etc. Just buy a Sharp, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony or major brand because you are less likely to get shafted.

If you go through a lot of reviews on LCD TVs a lot of people give good reviews even for the lower end brands. But you also see that for a lot of those people the TV they are reviewing is their first HDTV. So sure an Olivia or Vizio or Polaroid with an HD feed looks better than their old CRT and they are often real happy with it. I've a buddy and his Olivia looks on its own good until I compare it to my Samsung or even his Vizio "upgrade".

My first HD LCD set was a 720p Toshiba and it's just not as good as later generation sets and overall I was disapointed in Toshiba when I got my later Samsung and Sharp models.
