Agree with #1. I have the Sony HT-CT150 as well, and the Vizio (though not as aesthetically pleasing) blows it out of the water. I had an old subwoofer laying around and they pair up nicely. Def worth the price (I paid $55 with no rebate).
I have this and actually have it mounted outside (with custom cover), connected to and above my Dynex (Best Buy housebrand) 46" flatscreen. Sounds great, and gets the tv sound to almost the whole backyard. The remote has to be pointed fairly straight at the speaker for it register a command. I bought as refurb also, but it looked absolutely brand new.
Combine this with a powered subwoofer and you're good to go. Top rated by a "popular consumer magazine."

i picked this up for 30 with rebate from them some days ago. lol lucky ne!!!
It's mounted under a pergola, next to the pool. Neighbors love it because they come over to watch the game and share some alcoholic beverages. No problem with listening to the birds as we have a huge tree'd greenbelt behind us that is virtually a bird sanctuary.
There are too many negative reviews on Amazon for me to buy this.
Mine just broke.
