Tiger Direct has the refurbished Vizio VSB200 High Definition Sound Bar for $70 - $20 off with coupon code CFX36685 + $9 shipping = $59 shipped. Features an integrated amplifier at 15W x 2 channels with a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz and 102db dynamic range. Includes two stereo RCA inputs, one S/PDIF Optic TOSLINK input, one subwoofer output.
I bought this from Tiger 2 months ago. It fine. The sound is way better then the built-in TV speakers and I use it all the time.
My only complaint is that the S/PDIF connection doesn't sound great for some reason, but the RCA input sounds fine. Other than that, it works fine. And for the price, its worth it.
A whistleblower's allegations of impropriety by Tiger Direct CEO, Gilbert Fiorentino led to an investigation and now to his dismissal from the company he helped start.
I ordered one and it arrived just today. To test it, I hooked up my iPhone using the RCA inputs and ran Pandora. Sounds pretty good, but maybe a little muddy but again these are 3" speakers + tweeters. Also, these are refurbs, but mine looked absolutely brand new. Remote seems to work fine, and the LED's that shine thru the fabric grill look cool and tell you what's going on when using the remote. For the price, I think its a great deal if you are looking to improve the stock TV speakers.
The sound correction on this thing is not bad, but don't use it for sports. Since the sounds from a sporting event always changes from loud to quiet, the speaker will try to auto-correct it. SO just turn it off.
junk?
