This thing actually sounds very good. Remote is worthless unless you are in direct line of the unit at a perfect angle, but it works with the logitech harmony remotes perfectly.
Got mine for $90 and feel like it was a good deal at that price. Has suprising bass and the virtual surround works well. Got it to replace the built in speakers on my 32" Toshiba which buzzed whenever anyone spoke.
Works with my directv remote but not my panasonic blu ray remote.
