I paid about $750 for the 37" model back in October 2007. I think it's very good for the price. No complaints here!

The Vizio 32" VO320E from Dell a few weeks ago was a better deal, and it has a 15000:1 contrast ratio. It's $379 now, $365 then with free shipping.

F- Vizio! I paid 750 for a 42 in about 2 years ago. Just popped the other day and now it does not work. Never again.

I would avoid Vizio as all of the ones I've tried ended up returning back to Costco due to randomly shutting down during commercials.

I've had a 42" Vizio lcd for a couple years now. Works and looks fine. All brands have problems from time to time. A couple of friends of mine had Sony lcds go bad before 1 year was out, so you never know...

I paid $509 for Panasonic X1 32 inch from Amazon. Even if the Vizio VW32L is comparable in picture quality to Pana X1, it is still worth for the xtra $ to go with Pana X1. You don't know how long the Vizio lasts; I even heard its picture downgrade after 1 -2 years.

I have the 32" Vizio and I've very pleased with the sound, picture, and multiple connections. I am using it for a monitor right now and it looks fantastic.

#7 and a panasonic will last how long since you know?

I shopped around for a 32" and no one had the Vizio in stock so I went with a Sanyo, which I like very much.

I know several people with Vizios and have 0 problems.

If you do your shopping entirely based on brands, you are going to spend more then you have to.

I am a big fan of the Vizio products and this seems like a better-than-average deal from Target. If someone only had room for a 32" lcd, this might be a good choice to consider...especially for the budget price and easy availability.

Family member purchased a 52 inch Vizio and when warranty ran out(1.5 yrs old) the POD (POP OF DEATH bing! it) happened. Vizio wouldn't help at all, couldn't even order the parts needed from them. I forgot what the boards are called that fried, I think z board. I will never buy a Vizio product.

#9, I am not going with the brand, just use my common sense. I don't send $600 to buy a Sony or Samsung but I know that with the X1 I will have less chance to get headache to deal with a dead TV next year. I paid $1600 at Sears for a 50 inch Panasonic 2 years ago and I am happy watching it everyday.

I agree that all brands are going to have some people who are not happy. I have had a refurbished Vizio for three years and have had a good experience with it. Only paid $500 for the 37" back in 2006.

I think Olevia went out of business, but I still see their TVs around. Old stock or perhaps they came out of bankruptcy.
