These look great compared to more expensive brands like Sharp and Sony. I wonder how durable these are?

it's weird, i have a hit/miss feeling with Vizio's - in store they always look great next to the sony's/samsung's, but all of my friends' vizios look kinda crappy at home. not sure if they're not tuned right or what.

vizio panels are not as good as Sammys and Sony's. I vaguely remember there was an issue with this tv from AVSforums.. cant remember what, though.

most of the vizio issues were in the past and usually they are with screens less than 40in

samsung does make some great but expensive tv's, however a 1080P 42" with a good refresh pretty much implies it should be a decent set. Especially given the price. I'd be happy using this as a computer monitor even.

so I am pretty sure that the 120hz is a marketing gimmick, so the 240hz is basically BS right?

lol.... #7 120hz isnt a gimmic it makes fast paced scenes very smooth. Its awesome. YOu just have to make sure that the feature is on. Most stores dont have it on automatically.

Is there a noticeable difference between 120hz and 240hz because I can see the differences between 60hz and 120hz.
