This reviewer made a good comment on a competing product. He said if you have a hard time finding your remote imagine having to find this dongle every time you want to watch tv.
Keep your dongle in your pants #1 Since it has an 30pin connector an older dedicated device can be used for remote control purposes and have a homing app if its ever lost. Although, charging uses the same connector.
I got it last week. It works, but sucks at "just figuring out the device" DishTV, nope, Cisco Cable Box for TWC, nope. Then you have to go through the "learning process" and push ever button. The buttons give you a specific time to program, and move onward, even if you do not push the corresponding button. It is nice how it flips the video upside down, so you can use it pointed at the TV, but there is no way to undo that when you program in "learn mode" as the chan up is down and ect....so you have to think backwards, to push the correct button, and oops. time is up, move to next button...FML. ... Outside of that, it works. honestly I got it to shut off TV's at the bar, or change the channels....fu ck them.
