This doesn't seem as good as the $399 deal. When are those baztards gonna sling some deals?

I see a bunch of these Vostros here recently. How do they compare in terms of build quality and performance to HPs or Toshibas? I'm looking for an inexpensive but good quality laptop for my sister to take to college.

One more question: Do I need a business account to buy from this site?

      This should work for her

Just make up a business name, that's all you need.

Dell seems to be fading as a top-notch company. Just check out their ratings on resellerratings.com. MANY bad experiences and a lot of it stems from their outsourced customer service.

The outsourced customer service has killed Dell on so many levels. No wonder they are #2 now behind HP.

But to be fair, if you can actually get through the conversation with customer service and it turns out to be a hardware problem then the resolution is usually quick easy and free... it just takes forever to get to that point IMO

Dell now offers an on-line chat system for customer service, which seems to work out better than their phone-based service.
