The Vostro line is very utilitarian, cheap looking.

#1, what part of ghetto dogs did you not understand? Take your elitism elsewhere.

Even at this price a laptop with a Celeron isn't worth it. For around this price you can find a decent Core Duo or an AMD system that would be better.

The combination of Celeron & Vista should be good for users with needs for email, web, and Word.

Its getting harder and harder to find a laptop without Vista on it. Microsoft is shoving it down our throats like Foie gras ducks.

      http://www.nofoiegras.org/

Fight back by installing Ubuntu Linux. Tell MS to shove Vista up their keysters.

I don't even know why Vista is even an option anymore. It's like buying a car with a dent. Should bring the price down even more.

Who is the mother company for this manufacturer?

You can't customize this puppy at all! You would think they would let you upgrade the RAM since it's running Vista.

you can always load xp, but I would feel sorry for the person who tries to ever run vista on a celeron processor. A dual core is required for vista. All these computers with 512 mb ram and a celeron processer they sell with vista is just really not fair to the comsumers, it doesnt even meet the requirements to run vista.
