I got one yesterday with a 1 TB WD MyBook for just 50 bucks more. 350 when it was all said and done. I wonder if that deal is still going on and if I could reclaim the change. Anyone have experience with Dell on stuff like this?

this is basically the same deal from yesterday, except they're forcing you to get the 16gb drive, and throwing in 1gb instead of 512mb. i'm swapping the memory out for a 2gb chip anyway.

I upgraded to this unit yesterday. I wanted to see how the hackIntosh behaved before I committed to more memory. I sent them an email for my 25 bucks back.

I'm getting hot and bothered over these minis now. So many options...my ADD is loving it. 16GB SSD is probably a lot more reasonable to actually use, but now this thing approaches the prices of the HDD models.

I wish I could try out this keyboard. I think the quote key being in the wrong spot would drive me nuts. I looked at Dell Z520 and the keyboard was IDENTICAL to the HP 1030NR. Worked very nicely....everything laid out like a normal keyboard.

#7, the quote key location does that getting used to. It's quite annoying. For most typing though, it's actually not too bad. Small TAB key too.

      1) the version of linux they ship with sucks, replace it with a real installation. 2) the keyboard is awful, the hyphen, quotes, and F-keys are all misplaced and really awkward to use. eeepcs have a much much better keyboard, even their smaller 8.9in models. I own both dell and asus netbooks.
