tablet. I have two Wacoms (6x8 Intuos 3) right now, but have been using Wacom tablets for years. They just don't die, so I've sold the old ones.
I prefer the 6x8 for a variety of reasons - enough room to move, but not too big to handle easily. Also, the 6x8 fits very nicely in a laptop case. If you can't afford the bigger one, but still want all the features, this 4x6 is perfect.
Mine gets used mostly for Photoshop and Illustrator, but I've used it also for driving around Visio and Excel files, especially during presentations with live files.
For less money and sensitivity, check out the new Bamboo series - great for getting started or hobby-level work.
