Greenwashing. A garbage disposal is not green. They can claim they're more efficient than a lesser model, but installing one is just shifting the load from the compost/garbage to the sewer/septic vacuum truck driver. Food in a landfill is a minor concern compared to burnt out garbage disposals.
^ You're missing the point. If you're going to have a garbage disposal anyway, buying one that is painted green makes you better than everyone else.
This thing is too skinny to have any sound insulation yet the reviews say it's quiet. Amazon doesn't mention the horsepower but it is listed as 1hp elsewhere but when compared to other 1hp disposers is much smaller. I'm a bit skeptical.
