It's for people too poor to have a personal assistant to do petty things like type for you.

No it's for messy environments. Like DJ-ing @ a Co-ed oil or jello wrestling event.

I assume this is for tiny hand-held devices with crappy or no keyboards. USB connect.

The link says easy to clean and comfortable key feedback, but I'd love to hear that from someone who's actually tried it.

I guess for travel purposes... as I can't imagine putting my G-15 into a briefcase...

Its a piece of junk. I ordered 3 of them for a dusty work environment. They hold up well but you have to press the keys exactly in the center or they don't register. You must have perfect touch type ability for them to be useful. Most of the guys took them off after a week or so.
