Don't forget to put in code EMCZYNZ73 for 10% off ($7.90, for this drive), if you haven't already used it. Got mine for $71.09! Smile

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the advantage of this 6gb/s sata? wouldn't it perform the same using 3gb/s sata since the HDD is the bottle neck and would not max out 3gb/s? If so then why would ppl pay more for these drives? Thanks in advance for the answers.

#3, they don't pay more for the 6GB SATA. This is the current fastest 1TB drive, so it's worth a few extra dollars.

correction to #4, its not only the fastest of 7200rpm drives, but extremely more reliable than the green drives by far. hard to find good quality these days, only good quantity.

Erm, yeah, it's not expired. Why is it marked.

Also, good deal, if only CA wasn't a bitch though.

Won't work if you went for the Samsung drive of yesteryear.

Actually if you check 'eggs site, sorting 1TB+ WD drives by rating, the 1TB Green model is rated higher than this one then 4 more green models come up right after it... hardly a large difference in reliability if positive customer reviews echo that which they ought to.

Green drives are generally more reliable due to less stress and heat from operating at lower RPM and power consumption.
